- Override - Extended Demo
by C.E. Pelc
Override is your typical alt rock band with a nice twist-decent music. Depending on well-constructed vocal harmonies and interesting instrumental arrangements, Extended Demo is a nice follow-up to the band’s 2001 release Changing Condition, both released by Embryo Studios.
Extended Demo is a bit of a darker, moodier album than its predecessor. Songs like the album’s opener “Feed” and “I Fly” showcase Override’s ability to put together some rather radio-friendly tracks. However, the band certainly doesn’t smooth down all its rough rock edges, as tracks such as “My Ode to Killers” and “Speedy” show.
Override is probably a great band to check out live and if their music gains some radio fans, they’re bound to take off on the concord of fame. However, they have plenty of competition to fight against as their music is good, but not very different from anything saturating radio airwaves these days. They’re still a good band worth checking out.

Override - Self-titled (they mean Extended Demo)
by Nicholas Fox
On the most positive aspect of the scale, Override sounds like Alice in Chains. On the most negative side, they sound like Creed. Override carries out their grungey, dark rock anthems well, and although it may not be the most mind-shattering, innovative music out there, there’s other stuff that is far, far worse. “Feed” breaks into a hard, almost metal chorus, very Metallica-like, I must say, and “The New Agilly” weaves a web of balladic, ringing guitar-picking. “Speedy” and “Paper Dragon” dish up the punk and “Black-Eyed Susan” gets slow and soft again. Override has good variety, and sure, they’re marketable. I will say this for them: They’re better than at least one of the three Utah bands that got signed to a major label in the last year. So take that, suckas!

A Review Of Override
by Arminda A. Schroeder
Ben Mecham-lead guitar, vocals; Paul Gardner-drums and vocals; Chris Benson-lead vocals, bass, guitar has the ability to catch the attention of listeners and get them to feel their music on a real side.
So very talented, the best song of Override is “Wake Up,” the acoustic guitars meld together in this song creating a very interesting sound and a nice touch.
Override sounds a little like ‘80s rock and modern acoustic mixed together. They have come along way in their music path and have the ability to go farther. These talented guys have the potential to go anywhere with their music-get their album and you’ll be able to appreciate their rock music as well...
